It’s time for another Goo Net challenge, where the object is to find the best vehicle fitting a specific criteria and budget using the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Today’s challenge is to find a new or used van, minivan, or MPV with a budget of US$20,000.

Pretty much anything is fair game, with the exception of kei vans, which I’m sure would be the most popular and most predictable choice.

Here’s a trio of examples I found.

Kinja'd!!!

First is this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , the definitive ‘coupe MPV’. This example is in a nice two-tone silver/grey, as opposed to the typical blue/grey.

This specific one is listed with 54,000km/33,554mi (approximate, the odometer isn’t shown in the listing), and is being sold for US$10,720, located in the Osaka prefecture.

Next up is something German, a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with 27,000km/16,777mi (also approximate, odometer not shown in the listing).

This very clean Viano is low mileage, luxurious, and seats seven comfortably, all for just US$11,360.

Finally, we have something not far off from new for a rather decent price.

This is a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . It’s clean, sleek, and has very low mileage.

How low? How does 5,634km/3,500.8mi sound? And the price? US$19,990, bringing it just barely within the twenty grand budget.

Oh, and it’s got a 2.o SKYACTIV-G engine under the hood, just like the current 3, 6, CX-5, and the new Miata.

So, with the budget and limitations in mind, what’s the best van/MPV you can find on the site? Feel free to share your finds below.

Incidentally my dad owns two of these.*

*No he doesn’t. A Mk.IV Espace has nothing to do with the Avantime except the front end looks similar and it shares a bunch of engines. At least he owns a V6 Viano. But it’s a post facelift diesel one with the extended body.

Those are incredible!

I generally only look on Goo-Net Exchange because I can’t read Japanese.

Google translate to the rescue!

Exchange is easier to use for us who don’t speak Japanese but it doesn’t show all the listings on Goo-Net.
